According to dailytrust website, Gombe District will host the competition from December 28 to January 5, 2019.
Sheikh Ibrahim Oyarkhua, an organizer of the Quran competition held in Edo state, said that from among 104 contestants, 60 were selected as the winners in 6 categories of the competition.
He added that 10 top Quran reciters from among the winners will represent the state in Nigeria’s national Quran competition.
An educational course has been planned for the representatives of the state which will be held before the national competition, he said.
