TEHRAN (IQNA) – A national conference titled ‘Islamic Resistance in View of Quran’ kicked off in Iran’s holy city of Qom on Saturday.

It has been attended by Quranic figures and religious scholars from across the country and will run until September 24.

The Quranic Culture and Sciences Research Center and Qom Seminary’s Islamic Development Office have organized the conference in cooperation with a number of other organizations and institutions.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Sadeq Yusefi Moqaddam, head of the center, said 148 have been submitted to the secretariat of the event, 27 of which will be presented at the conference.

‘Discourse-making and method of resistance in view of the Quran’, ‘concepts, foundations and principles of Islamic resistance in view of the Quran’, ‘models of resistance in view of the Quran’, ‘achievements of resistance in view of the Quran’, and ‘challenges of resistance in view of the Quran’ are the main themes of discussion at the six-day event.

The conference had been scheduled to be held in February but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
