Holy Quran Is Message of Peace for Humanity
The Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed chaired the ceremony. Besides, Mr. Zahid Malik, the speakers included scholars and ambassadors.
Addressing the function, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said, the Quran’s message of peace and human fraternity is not merely for Muslims, it is for the whole humanity.’ He underlined the need for Muslims to present the Quranic message of peace to the world at large. They should order their lives in accordance with that message so that the world could see the reality of Islamic faith by observing true followers of Islam.
He said, terrorism is being associated with Islam only because certain elements among rank and file of the Muslims were committing violence in violation of Islamic teachings but still in the name of this great religion of peace and fraternity.
The Minister said, the Quran is guidance and asset for the humanity. Mr. Zahid Malik deserves all appreciation for his great and dedicated effort to promote understanding of Quran’s contents through world’s languages.
Chairman of Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer Zahid Malik Friday admitted age might not spare him the energy to translate his ‘magnum opus’, Mazameen-i-Quran-i-Hakim (Subjects of Quran) into 15 languages of the world, therefore, he said he was setting up a trust for the purpose.
Zahid Malik shared his plan with the audience at the launch of the Arabic Edition of the book. This is the 4th translation of Mazameen-i-Quran. Earlier it has been translated into English, French and German languages.
A large number of the ambassadors and diplomats of the Arab and the Muslim world had turned up to greet ‘Brother Zahid Malik’ on the occasion.
