Sincerity, One of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Main Characteristics

TEHRAN (IQNA) – One of the main characteristics of the late founder of Imam Khomeini (RA), the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was his sincerity with God, himself and people.

Lebanese scholar Sheikh Qazi Yusuf Hunaina made the remark in an address to the International Conference on “Quran in Imam Khomeini’s Seerah and Thought”.

Sheikh Hunaina added that the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were manifested in the character of this great scholarly and clerical figure of Islam.

He said Imam Khomeini (RA) began his Islamic movement in Iran and it shined all over the world.

Even in Latin America people were inspired by Imam Khomeini’s thoughts, the Lebanese scholar stated.

He also described Imam Khomeini as a reviver of Islam in the contemporary era.

The international conference on “Quran in Imam Khomeini’s Seerah and Thought” was held Sunday in the Iranian capital city’s Milad Tower.

It was attended by scholars and thinkers from different countries.

A number papers on themes like  the importance of Quran in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) view, Quran interpretation principles in view of Imam Khomeini (RA), manifestation of Quranic teachings in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) political and social Seerah, and Quranic ethics in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) deeds and words were presented at the scholarly event.
