Quran Revealed in A Comprehensive Language: Kuwaiti Scholar
This is according to Kuwaiti scholar Muhammad Hussayn al-Tayan, speaking at a program titled “Sharia and Life in Ramadan” aired on Al Jazeera.
He said many scholars and researchers believe that Arabic is the most beautiful and comprehensive language.
There has been no people in history who are better in eloquence and who attach importance to eloquence than the Arab people, he stated.
The scholar added that the miracle of every divine messenger was based on what his people were best at and the miracle of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the Quran, which is at the peak of eloquence.
God chose the Arabic language to reveal the Quran as it has special features and advantages, al-Tayan said.
He said the language has some 11,000 root words from which millions of words can derive, giving it such a richness that one can see in no other language.

The Kuwaiti scholar also said that the Quran cannot be described as poetry or prose but it is something beyond both.
It has a special music that is excels the music of poetry, he went on to say.
