Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mohammad Zolfaqari, director of non-Iranian pilgrims department of Astan Quds Razavi, told IQNA that 40 children and teenagers from 12 countries will attend the ceremony.

It will be held at all of the Rawaqs (roofed spaces attached to the holy shrine), he noted.

Since long ago, the ritual has been held in many Muslim, especially Arab, countries, he said.

According to the cleric, it features children and teenagers signing songs, reciting eulogies in praise of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), congratulating people in their neighborhoods on the arrival of Ramadan and reminding people of the blessings of the holy month.

He said the ritual is held at the Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine for the second consecutive year with the aim of keeping such good traditions alive and contributing to the transmission of Islamic values to future generations.
