World of Islam Needs Unity Today More than Ever

A founder of Al-Nahzah Islamic Party said that the world of Islam is in need of unity today more than ever.




Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 1st Quran interpretation course held at Al-Zaytoonah University in Tunisia, Sheikh Abdul Fattah Moro stressed the importance of contemplating in the Holy Quran’s verses and asked the students and teachers to make use of the Islamic Awakening as an opportunity to investigate religion and politics in view of the Holy Quran.



He deprecated development of individualism in Islamic system and noted that it is against Quranic teachings and that the Holy Quran stresses paying attention to society and the benefit of the society.



The Tunisian university lecturer also stressed the necessity of preservation of freedom and dignity which are the achievements of the revolution in Tunisia.



He considered moderation and logical behavior in interaction as influential factors which lead to maintain the achievements of the revolution.



He said that in spite of variety in schools of thought, Muslims need unity today more than ever and extremism will have no positive result.



Sadeq Ramezani, Iranian cultural attaché in Tunisia, granted the invitation letter sent by the Secretary General of the World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought to the Tunisian lecturer.
