In a speech on Saturday, he said the principle of Wilayat (guardianship of the Infallible) is the guarantee for continuing on the path of God and standing up against enemies of the Ummah, al-Maseerah TV reported.
He also said that the Yemeni nation celebrate Eid al-Ghadir this year like previous years, within the framework of their religious heritage.
Al-Houthi further warned that if Muslims move away from divine teachings, it would pave the way for enemies’ dominance over the Islamic Ummah.
The event of Ghadir, or Eid al-Ghadir, is celebrated by Shia Muslims around the world every year. It is among important feasts and happy holidays of Shia Muslims held on the 18th day of Dhul Hijja in the lunar Hijri calendar.
It was the day when according to reports, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) as his caliph and the Imam after himself following an order from God.
