The mosque hopes to address misconceptions regarding the Islamic faith.
Charitable Incorporated Organization (CIO), MKSI Leicester which is based at Masjid Al Husayn in Humberstone, will host the day to break barriers between different religions and educate residents.
Visit My Mosque takes place annually, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is set to return on Sunday, September 4 between 2-6pm.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to meet resident Iman, Sheikh Anwar Jaffer and ask any questions they have about Islam.
Organizers told LeicestershireLive that representatives from churches, synagogues and other different religions will be present on the day.
Guests will be given a full tour of the mosque and there will be a variety of traditional Indian foods.
